Frequently asked questions

How do I add books?

1. Tap + in the library and pick EPUB files from the Files app
2. Use Share → Leafmark from any app that hands over an EPUB
3. Drop EPUB files into the app's Documents folder via the Files app or Finder/iTunes file sharing — they are imported automatically on next launch

How do I highlight?

Select text while reading, then choose Highlight or Add Note from the menu. Tap an existing highlight to change its color, edit the note, or delete it.

How do I export my highlights?

Open a book → highlighter icon → share icon (top left). You get clean Markdown, ready for Obsidian, Notion, or any text editor.

Where is my data stored?

Everything is on your device. See the privacy policy — there is no account and no cloud.

Which formats are supported?

DRM-free EPUB 2 and EPUB 3. PDF and DRM-protected books (e.g. from Amazon or Apple Books) are not supported.
